Turn on FontFlex in Safari
Safari keeps extensions off until you allow them. This takes about a minute.
iPhone and iPad
- Install FontFlex from the App Store and open it once.
- Open the Settings app, then tap Apps › Safari › Extensions.
- Tap FontFlex and switch Allow Extension on.
- Under Permissions, set All Websites to Allow.
- Open Safari, tap the page menu (the icon to the left of the address) and choose FontFlex to check it is running.
Mac
- Install FontFlex from the Mac App Store and open it once.
- In Safari, choose Safari › Settings and click Extensions.
- Tick FontFlex.
- Click Edit Websites and set Other Websites to Allow.
Fonts not changing?
- Quit and reopen Safari. On iPhone, swipe Safari away in the app switcher, then open it again.
- Check website permission. If FontFlex is set to “Ask”, Safari waits for you to allow it on each site.
- Private browsing: in the extension settings, allow FontFlex in Private Browsing too.
- Check the site isn’t excluded. Open the FontFlex menu in Safari and make sure “Exclude this website” is off.
- Some content can’t change. Text inside images, PDFs and videos stays as it is.
